A STAR-STUDDED line up of speakers and performers took part in a Christmas Celebration Concert in aid of Child Bereavement UK at Holy Trinity Brompton in London on Thursday 7th December.

It was a magical evening with a wonderful and varied line-up of performances from music legends Sir Tom Jones and Jools Holland, and readings from familiar faces from stage and screen including Bill Nighy and bereaved parents, Ben and Marina Fogle. Taplow Youth Choir and The London African Gospel Choir led the singing, and the congregation received a moving talk from Brendan Cox, widower of the late Jo Cox MP.

Proceeds from the evening went to Child Bereavement UK which supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. The event marks the end of an important year for the charity that saw an increase in demand for its support services including in response to the Grenfell Tower fire and the terror attacks in London and Manchester.

The charity also recently launched a national awareness campaign, One More Minute, which asks bereaved families, patrons and celebrities to share what they would say if they could have one more minute with their special person who has died. To watch the films, visit: www.onemoreminute.org
