Take part in the biggest half marathon in the world!

With over 57,000 runners taking part in this famous 13.1 mile event, the Great North Run is broadcast live by the BBC and is the premier event in the Great Run series. The event also welcomes the use of wheelchairs, assisted or self-propelled.

The course allows spectators to support you every step of the way, taking you past Newcastle city centre landmarks such as the Tyne Bridge and the famous international athletics stadium.

The Great North Run was an incredible experience - an excellent atmosphere and a challenging yet rewarding course. Raising funds for children who are grieving and in need of support is one of my proudest accomplishments.
