We put the voices of our beneficiaries at the heart of our brand, service and goals and use this to lead the direction of our charity. Together, we shape projects, services, and content that truly reflects the diverse experiences of being a bereaved child, young person or parent.

It helps as I know I’m using my experience for good. I want to use my time on the Youth Team to create positive change for others experiencing bereavement and loss, and I find that sharing my own experience and advice has helped me articulate my own feelings around grief.

What opportunities are there to get involved with?

Our ambassadors take part in a range of opportunities around five key areas:

Child Bereavement UK wants to make sure every bereaved child, young person and parent gets the support they need. To achieve this, we need a wide range of Lived Experience Ambassadors to share their experiences – particularly those who are often unheard and underrepresented. We actively welcome members from diverse backgrounds, communities and needs.

By sharing your experiences, you’ll help Child Bereavement UK ensure they can reach even more bereaved children, young people and parents with the support they need.
