Join Mary Berry for afternoon tea this November

ON Friday 17 November, you could be quaffing champagne and eating cake with the Queen of Baking herself, for just £75. Held at the beautiful Latimer Estate, Chesham and in aid of local charity Child Bereavement UK, this event is not to be missed.

As well as afternoon tea, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, have their cookery books signed, and take part in a special raffle with the chance to win an apron that has been worn and signed by the popular cook.

Child Bereavement UK, for which Mary Berry is a Patron, supports families when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child faces bereavement.

The charity also trains professionals, such as teachers, doctors and midwives to help them better understand and meet the needs of the grieving families they come into contact with in their daily working life.

Mary, who has a personal affinity with the charity following the death of her son William in 1989, said:

When William died, there was little support available for bereaved families. Through my links with Child Bereavement UK, I have met families who have received and benefited from their services. I think it’s a wonderful charity and I am delighted to be a part of this event.
