Jason Watkins is an award-winning stage, film and television actor. He has appeared in Taboo, Line of Duty, Are You Being Served, W1A, Being Human, Trollied, and Nativity! film series. In 2015, he won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Actor for the lead role in The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.

In 2011, Jason and Clara’s two-and-a half-year-old daughter Maude died of sepsis. He dedicated his 2015 BAFTA award to her and Jason has actively campaigned to raise awareness of sepsis and its symptoms. Jason featured in Child Bereavement UK's One More Minute awareness campaign and has done a number of media interviews on behalf of the charity.

On becoming Patron of Child Bereavement UK Jason said:

The physical and emotional trauma of losing your child is overwhelming, but Child Bereavement UK provide a touchstone that you can access, giving you practical tools to help you carry your loss with you as you move forward. Child Bereavement UK’s work supporting bereaved families is vital and I am delighted to help raise awareness of their important work.
