This session focuses on equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills to support children and young people who have experienced bereavement through suicide.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for individuals whose work brings them into contact with grieving children and young people, for example: education professionals, health and social care staff, faith leaders, emergency service personnel, and charities. 

What will I learn?

This training covers:

  • The complex emotions associated with suicide.

  • Effective communication strategies to help children and young people express their feelings.

  • How to create safe spaces for grieving children and young people.

  • How to provide appropriate support tailored to individual needs.

  • Information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and resources available.
