This training is suitable for individuals whose work brings them into contact with grieving teenagers and young people, for example: health and social care staff, faith leaders, emergency service personnel, and charities. We recommend that bereaved families attend our webinar: Supporting a bereaved child - for parents, families and carers. What will I learn? During this training, you will: Explore the experiences of teenagers/young adults and develop a deeper understanding of the challenges they may face. Acknowledge the diverse needs of bereaved teenagers. Gain understanding of the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that accompany grief. Develop knowledge of practical strategies, and gain greater confidence in, supporting bereaved teenagers and young people. Develop an awareness of the challenges of the work and the importance of looking after yourself.
