Steve volunteers regularly for Child Bereavement UK by helping out at festivals across the country

Lorna, who manages the Let’s Rock and Pennfest festival partnership at Child Bereavement UK said:

Steve is a fantastic support at our festivals. He’s always happy to pitch in. Without incredible volunteers like Steve we simply couldn’t raise the phenomenal amounts we do at these events to fund our work supporting families facing the devastation of child bereavement.

Steve has supported an incredible twenty-four individual festivals which have raised a combined total of over £150,000 for Child Bereavement UK, which could help us to answer over 5,000 calls to our Helpline.

Katherine was supported by Child Bereavement UK with her children after their father died by suicide. She says: “I got through to the Helpline and the people on the end of the phone were amazing. They were able to give advice based on very practical things to do. If we hadn’t had the support of Child Bereavement UK, I don’t know what life would be like. My instinct is we wouldn’t have dealt with it on our own and it might have been more damaging.”

The funds you help us raise by volunteering will enable us to help more families and children like Katherine’s, needing support at the most difficult time in their lives.
