CEO of Tidy Management and the founder and former MD of The Speakers Agency, Sylvia witnessed first-hand the devastating effect the sudden loss of her 39-year-old brother Nick had on her, his family and, in particular, on his then 13-year-old daughter Scarlette and nine-year-old son Jones in 2004. For them life literally stood still. 

Sylvia also saw the positive effect bereavement counselling had on them so, when she was invited to represent the charity, she jumped at the chance. She does everything she can to promote the charity and has met many people who have benefited from Child Bereavement UK's support through tough times.

Sylvia constantly encourages new supporters and recommends the charity to bereaved families, whether they be a parent who has lost a child or the surviving parent of bereaved children. She also mentions Child Bereavement UK wherever possible when being interviewed in the media.
