Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for line managers who deliver supervision to team members who are working with bereaved families.

What will I learn?

During this training, you will:

  • Develop a greater understanding of the skills needed to supervise practitioners working with bereaved children and young people, and with family members when a child has died.

  • Explore how to support team members to prepare for and get the most out of supervision

  • Provide a space for ‘supportive curiosity’ about the challenges, skills, knowledge and qualities faced by, and required of, bereavement supervisors.

  • Develop an awareness of the importance of looking after ourselves

  • Receive information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and about resources available.
